James “Anthony” Poignon, II, 35, of Findlay, passed away peacefully, unexpectedly on Sunday, February 9, 2020, after battling cancer for years.
He was born on April 16, 1984, in Tiffin, Ohio, to James A. and Pam (Schube) Poignon.
He is survived by his father, James “Jim” A. Poignon of Springfield, VA; mother, Pam Schube of Tiffin; daughter, Faith Annmarie Poignon of Van Buren; sister, Afton M. Poignon of Holland; nephew’s Kane & Wesley; sister, Merissa L. (Chris) Perry of Tiffin; nephews, Gabrielle and Elliot; brother, Jordan N. Clouse of Holland; sister, Meranda J. Clouse of Carey; and grandparents, James A. Poignon and Sandra and Ronald Baillie, all of Tiffin.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley Poignon.
Anthony graduated in 2003 from Carey High School and served in the United States Marine Corps from 2006 to 2012 serving a tour of duty in Iraq. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, video games, playing football while in high school, playing and watching all sports, “Go Spartans”, was a practical joker and had many close friends.
His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Timothy Kummerer officiating. Burial will follow in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the New Riegel American Legion.
Friends may visit with the family from 4-7:00 P.M. on Monday, February 17, 2020 at the funeral home.
