Jeffrey Alan Smith

Jeffrey Alan Smith, 58, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday evening, April 10, 2021 at Mercy Health -Tiffin Hospital.

On November 4, 1962 in Newfane, New York; he was born to Chet and Julia Alice “Judy” (McCord) Smith and they preceded him in death.

He is survived by his sisters, Jeri (Gary) Ross of Tiffin; Cheryl (John) Feeley of Olcott, NY; brothers, Chet (Judy) Smith of Waupaca, WI; Ronald (DeeAnna) Skilton of West Seneca, NY; Ralph (Elizabeth) Smith of Lyndonville, NY; William Smith of Wilson, NY; Gerald (Jackie) Smith of Columbia, TN; and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Randell Smith and sister-in-law, Rosemary Smith.

Jeff was a member and enjoyed attending the Old Fort Church where he was known as “Pastor” Jeff.  He worked at the Seneca County School of Opportunity Workshop, played basketball for the Seneca Arrows.  He was a huge sports fan of the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns.  He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and dancing.  Jeff was a multi-tasker, he would spend his time listening to music with his headphones, watching sports and looking through catalogs while drinking a Pepsi. Jeff had a big heart, a bright smile, and liked to share his happiness with others.

His Memorial Service will be Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at the Old Fort Church with Pastor Marc Quinter officiating at 10:30 AM.  Friends may visit with the family at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Monroeville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Seneca County Opportunity Center, 780 East County Road 20, Tiffin, Ohio 44883.
