Joel M. Frey, 67, of Toledo, passed away Friday, December 11, 2020 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital.
On September 13, 1953 in Presque Isle, ME., he was born to Robert “Bob” and Mary Lou (Kelbey) Frey. He married Ann (Losh) Brittian on July 1, 2014.
Survivors include his father, Bob (Darlene) Frey; wife, Ann Brittian of Toledo; daughters, Laurie (Scott) Feathers and Michelle Frey both of New Riegel; step-daughters, Amy Brittian, Sarah (Chico) Martinez and Jen (Donald) Coger all of Toledo; brother, Eric (Cathy) Frey of Franklin, TN.; sisters, Leslie (Marty) Brenamen of Fostoria, Julie Bechtel of Sandusky, Karen (Peter) Smith of Springfield, Susan (Jeff) Estep of Papillion, NE.; granddaughter, Mallorie Feathers of New Riegel; four step-grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lou Frey.
Joel graduated in 1971 from Calvert High School and from Tiffin University. He was a forklift driver for Findlay Industries for 25 years and another 10 years with Cooper Tire. He enjoyed working out, going to casino’s, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, was a member at Seneca Hills and took many golf trips to North Carolina.
A memorial service will be Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 7:00 P.M. at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Matthew Radar officiating.
A masked visitation for family and friends will be from 4-7:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. Family and friends are asked to wear masks and social distance as they pay their respect.
