John Wayne Company

John Wayne Company, 68, of Tiffin, Ohio, passed away on Thursday evening, May 7, 2020 at St. Francis Home.

He was born on November 18, 1951, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Oscar C. J. and M. Eulalia (Blust) Company. 

Survivors include his daughter, Clara D. (Joey) Aparicio of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Josie and Melody Aparicio; brother, Charles “Sonny” Lewis (Marion) Company of Tiffin; sisters, Jeannine Marie Gaietto, Rita Carol (Frank) Dariano and Mary Anne (Edward) Market all of Tiffin and Elaine Elizabeth Heise of Port Clinton; sister-in-law's, Christine Company of Roscommon, MI; Miriam Kay “Mac” Mays of South Carolina and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Thomas Joseph Company and Robert James Company and sister, Doris Lucille Kromer who called him to heaven the same day that he passed, May 7, 2020.

John graduated in 1970 from Tiffin Calvert High School, worked at Crabill Construction for ten years and at Whirlpool Corporation in Clyde since 2000.  He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, AmVets Post 48 and VFW Post 2858. He enjoyed yardwork, hunting, fishing, and watching television, especially  Sci-fi, fantasy and old movies. John was a jokester and was well known for “picking on” his nieces, nephews and grandchildren.   John loved his family, especially his granddaughters, who called him “Grampy”

Funeral services will be held privately Thursday, May 14th, 2020 at the funeral home.

Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 is assisting the family with arrangements.
