John Roschie Obituary

John Paul Roschie, 76, of Tiffin, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 at Bridge Hospice Care, Findlay.

He was born on December 27, 1944, in Connersville, IN, to Robert and Helen (Hasson) Roschie.  He married Janet Meggitt in 1970 and she preceded him in death.  He married Beverly Moran in 1977 and they divorced.  On June 12, 1987, he married Linda Kay Troup-Marsh.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Roschie of Tiffin; sons, Patrick (Andrea) Roschie of Lima and Sean (Kimi) Roschie of Findlay; daughters, Kim (Cory) Gossman of Carey and Amy Hill of Washington Twp., MI; sister, Sandra Andrews of AZ; grandchildren, Madison, Quinn, Killian, Sullivan, Logan, Allison, Taylor, Julian and Gabby; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Robert Roschie; and brothers, Dennis "Chuck" Roschie, Robert Johnson, Michael Sexton, Orville Sexton and Mark Sexton.

John graduated in 1964 from Clyde High School.  After graduation, he served in the United States Navy during Vietnam War from 1964 to 1968.  After serving in the Navy, he then served in the Army National Guard and the Air National Guard Red Horse.  In 1978, John graduated with an associates degree from Terra Technical College.  He retired in 2006 as a security guard at Securitas.  John was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, where he was a Deacon, an Elder, a Trustee and Chairman of the Trustees.  John was also a past member of the Tiffin Masonic Lodge #77 and Brainard Lodge #336 in Fremont.  He was an Ohio State Buckeye fan and enjoyed fishing, golfing, reading, doing yardwork and spending time with his grandchildren.

His Funeral Service will be at 10:30 A.M. on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, 2016 S. CR 19, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 with Pastor Doug DeVos and Pastor Kenneth Oswald co-officiating.  Burial will follow in Parkhurst Cemetery, Clyde, with Military honors being conducted by the Clyde V.F.W.

Friends may visit with the family from 5-7:00 P.M. on Friday, November 19, 2021 at the Church and from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Saturday.. 

Memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, FACT or to Bridge Hospice Care.
