Joseph William Wott, 81, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday morning, December 13, 2020 at his home.
On February 19, 1939 in Fremont, he was born to Frank and Esther (Schwochow) Wott. He married Beverley Ruess on October 18, 1958 in St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bellevue.
Survivors include his wife Beverley of 62 years, sons, David (Laura) Wott of Perrysburg; Douglas (Anita) Wott of Lambertville, MI; daughters, Kimberly (Cliff) Moll of Newtown, PA; Tamara (Chris) Loh of Columbus; four grandchildren, Clifford Moll, Christopher (Kaitlyn) Moll, Kaitlyn Loh, Renee Wott and a brother, Paul Wott of Clyde.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Mark Wott of Clyde.
Joe was a member of First Lutheran Church and served on the church council as treasurer for 27 years and graduated from Clyde High School in 1957, served in the Ohio National Guard for many years and graduated from Tiffin University in 1972. He was a self-employed CPA for over 43 years in Tiffin.
He played in the city church dartball league and was member of the National Accountants Association, longtime member of Business Boosters and Kiwanis Club, serving as treasurer. Former board member of the Seneca County School of Opportunity and many other boards throughout the years. He enjoyed cheering for the Cleveland Browns, Indians, and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
A walk-through visitation will be Friday, December 18, 2020 from 5-7 PM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory. A private service will be held with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery.
