Keith Edward Cole, 88, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday morning, May 2, 2021 at Mercy Health-St. Rita's Hospital in Lima.
He was born on July 26, 1932, in Jackson, MI, to Max and Myrtle Cole. On July 27, 2002, he married Constance L. “Connie” Jordan.
Survivors include his wife, Constance Cole of Tiffin; son, Brian (Lori) Cole of Tiffin; daughters, Laurie (Mark) Googasian of Salt Lake City, UT and Lisa Cole of Buford, GA; stepchildren; Angela (Chad) Sturgill, Bonnie Clark, Sherry (Al) Falter and Laurie (Jerry) Williams; grandchildren, Sarah Cole, Jordan Raszeja, Vickie Googasian,; and step grandchildren, Justin Kerby, Alanna Sturgill and Shelby Sturgill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Brenda Needham; and second wife, Virginia Pergory.
Keith graduated in 1950 from East Jackson High School and with a Bachelor Degree from Michigan Technical University. He served as a pilot, flying fighting jets, in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1958. Keith moved to Tiffin in 1970 when he was transferred to Hayes-Albion. He retired from Davis Crane in Maumee and after retirement was a consultant at American Standard and M.J. Brown. He was a member of Tiffin Lions Club for many years and was their past district newsletter editor and was a former member of the Tiffin Elks Lodge 94. Keith was a private licensed pilot, was a talented carpenter, enjoyed tinkering with cars, golfing, bowling, coaching Melmore baseball and softball and coaching track & field with his son, Brian at Ohio Northern.
His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Christ’s Church at Tiffin, 2586 W. US Highway 224, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, with Pastor Curt Gallmeyer officiating. Keith will be buried beside his first wife in Fairview Cemetery, Parma, Michigan at a later date.
Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am until the time of the service on Saturday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Tiffin Lions Club or to Christ’s Church at Tiffin.
