After retirement, he worked with his good friend, Bill Theis for ten years at Theis Construction.  He enjoyed farming in McCutchenville and raising cattle at his homeplace in Tiffin. His younger years were spent racing go-karts and winning many trophies over the years.  His love for racing continued throughout his life. While attending many sprint car races around the area, he became a good acquaintance with Christopher Bell and followed his successful career in the sprint car circuit.  Kenny lived a frugal life and tried to save on everything.
