Lance A. Kaufman

Lance A. Kaufman, 61, of Bettsville, passed away on Sunday evening, October 31, 2021 at his home.

He was born on July 19, 1960, in Chicago, IL to Kenneth J. and Wilma Lee (Peyton) Kaufman.  On December 15, 1978, he married Debra J. Haefer.

Survivors include his wife, Debra J. Kaufman of Bettsville; son, Chadd (Ashley Nichols) Kaufman of Tiffin; daughter, Chrystal (Jason Rau) King of Republic; brother, Paul (Tina) Hoover of IN; sisters, Karon (Dwight) Moyer and Marcy Bishop, both of Tiffin and Sharron Kaufman of CA; and five grandchildren, Katelynn, Braylon, Emberlee, Taylor and Brandon.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Lance worked at Fry Food, NAPA Auto Parts, Webster, Sears, Coppus Motors and retired in 2006 from John’s Welding & Towing.  He was a member of Reflection Ministry in Bettsville where he was an Elder and Trustee.  He was also a member of American Legion Post 733, Bettsville and enjoyed camping, working on cars, woodworking and being outdoors.  Lance was a fan of WTOL TV 11 over the years and asked if they could stop by sometime, so they did.  He was very upbeat and positive even after losing his legs eight years ago.

His Funeral Service will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Pastor Charles Hall officiating.

Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Service on Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
