Lawrence M. “Larry” Koch, 67, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday afternoon, April 14, 2019 at The Cleveland Clinic.
He was born on October 6, 1951 in Tiffin, to Samuel and Anna Mae (Hushour) Koch. He married Bonnie Gibson on April 10, 2002.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie of Tiffin; mother, Anna Mae McClintock of Tiffin; son, Jason (Jaimie) Risner of Forrest, OH; daughters, Jaime (Brandon) Chambers of Mansfield; Julie (Jason) Coleman of Bascom; Jessica (Cory) Decker and Joni Koch both of Tiffin; sister, Peggy Jacobs of Tiffin and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Richard Koch; sisters, Ruth Hart and Lynn Renninger.
Larry graduated from Mohawk High School in 1969 and was a self-employed carpenter. He will be remembered, as a kind and gentleperson who never met a stranger, loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Larry was known to drink a few beers with his friends at Walnut Grove and Island View Campgrounds, was an Ohio State, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Cavaliers and even a Browns fan.
His funeral service will be Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 8:00 P.M. at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Curt Gallmeyer officiating.
Friends may visit and share stories with the family on Thursday from 5:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
