Maliyah Young, 15, of Tiffin, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning, May 27, 2020 in the Emergency Room at Mercy Health-Tiffin Hospital.
She was born on December 27, 2004 to Melvin Wynn and Danielle Young.
Surviving is her father, Melvin Wynn of Cleveland and Danielle Spaulding of Tiffin; brothers, Brenden Young and Alex Young, both of Tiffin; sisters, Bristol Young and Ataiah Foster, both of Tiffin; grandmother, Lisa (Mark) Blackburn of Tiffin and Georgia Wynn of Cleveland; great grandparents, Richard and Carol Dull of Tiffin; aunts, Brittany (Tyler) Crapo of Tiffin, Natasha, Constance and Loveta; uncles, Nathaniel and Nashier; and many great aunts, uncles and cousins
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Roger A. Young.
Maliyah just finished her freshman year at Tiffin Columbian High School where she played the tenor saxophone in the marching and concert bands and played softball. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she was in the children’s choir and was a server. She enjoyed singing, dancing, loved all animals; especially her dog, Maggie, loved children and hanging out with her close friends, Delaney Powers, Kaitlyn Provino and Tatum Barker. Maliyah was very affectionate, always giving hugs, kisses and an I Love You.
Her Funeral Mass will be at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew Rader officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will be at a later date in Greenlawn Cemetery.
A luncheon and gathering to celebrate Maliyah’s life will also be at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Seneca County.
