Marcella A. “Sally” Kleinfelter VanBuskirk, 87, of Tiffin and formerly of Bascom, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022, at Mercy Health-Tiffin Hospital.
She was born on June 17, 1934, in Seneca County, to Frank and Rose (Hosman) Roth.
Survivors include her sons, Arthur F. Kleinfelter of Oak Harbor and Paul (Alicia) Kleinfelter of Findlay; daughters, Carol Tiell and Eileen Kleinfelter, both of Tiffin; Jean (Phil) Schalk and Judy (Mark) Mack, both of New Riegel; daughter-in-law, Connie (Rick)Theis of Findlay; 16 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and one more on the way.
She was preceded in death by her son, Tom Kleinfelter; son-in-law, Ken Tiell; brothers, Bernard Roth and Donald Roth, sister, Garnita Babb and her cat, Kit-Kat.
Sally was born and raised on the family farm and later moved to Fostoria where she attended St. Wendelin School. She was a member of All Saints Parish, New Riegel and former member of St. Patrick Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She worked at Atlas Crankshaft in Fostoria for over 25 years and at Bob Evans in Tiffin as a hostess for over seven years.
She enjoyed trips with the Allen Eiry Senior Center, tending to her rose gardens, watching Hallmark movies, gameshows, collecting dolls, baking, crafting, babysitting, oil painting and bowled until she was 80 years old. Most of all, Sally loved being a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and homemaker. The holiday celebrations were extra special, she looked forward to having a house full.
Her Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at All Saints Parish, New Riegel with Rev. Timothy Kummerer officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery. The Mass will be live streamed at www.allsaints-parish.com.
