Obituary

Marilyn Jane Wilson, age 93, died on Friday, January 14, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at the Randall Residence in Tiffin, Ohio.

Marilyn was born on July 7, 1928 in Tiffin, OH to Wilber and Betty Mohler.

She is survived by her 3 children, David (Judy) Herrmann of Perry Ohio, Julie (Jim) Arnold, of London, Ohio, and Dr. Tom (Lisa) Herrmann of Westerville, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Kuhn of Tiffin, Ohio; and stepdaughter, Suzie Marks and her daughter, Blair of Rowlett, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her previous husband, Klaus Herrmann, of Reynoldsburg, OH who passed on September 24, 1993. She was also preceded in death by husband Jimmie B. Wilson of Tiffin, OH who died on December 4, 2018.

Marilyn spent her early years in Tiffin graduating from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1947, where she was a drummer in the high school marching band. Later, she relocated to Reynoldsburg/Pickerington, Ohio area where she worked as a teacher’s aide in the Columbus Public Schools for years. She was also an active member of the Reynoldsburg High School band boosters. Marilyn remarried after her husband Klaus’ death to Jimmie Wilson of Tiffin on November 1, 1999. The couple enjoyed traveling with the Allen Eiry Senior Center group and spending time with family and friends.

We will miss Marilyn’s motherly advice and her positive attitude towards life. Her kindness and friendliness will never be forgotten. We would like to extend a very special thanks to Heartland Hospice and the staff at Randall Residence who cared for Marilyn for many years. Also, special thanks to her neighbors and friends the Durbins and Aleys who checked in on Marilyn when she lived on Sunny Lane.
