Marilyn Weinandy Obituary

Marilyn Rose Weinandy, 92, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday afternoon, November 11, 2021 at her home, surrounded by family.

She was born on September 3, 1929, in Tiffin Ohio to Joseph E. and Eulalie C. (Busam) Goetz.  On August 17, 1957, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, she married James ‘Jim” Weinandy.

Survivors include her husband, James Weinandy of Tiffin; daughters, Jane (Joe) Dulgar and Teresa (Daniel) Roessner, both of Tiffin; three grandchildren, Kimberly (Matthew) Cocuzzi, Allison (Aaron) Gooding and Tyler (Kate) Dulgar; and four great grandchildren, Dominic and Sophia Cocuzzi and Annabel and Alivia Gooding.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter; brother, Richard Goetz; and sister, Nancy Larkins.

Marilyn was a 1948 graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School and worked at Goetz Dairy, Busam Paper from 1948 to 1952 and for Sattler Chevrolet from 1953 to 1957.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and volunteered as a greeter for years at Mercy Hospital.  Marilyn and Jim wintered in Destin, FL and Miramar Beach, FL and she enjoyed golfing on many leagues at Clinton Heights, playing cards, bowling with United Commercial Travelers, playing games on her iPad and was a Cincinnati Bengals, Notre Dame and an Ohio State Buckeye fan.

Her Services will be private and burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Stein Hospice for all their kindness and compassion the last two weeks.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice, Calvert Catholic Schools or to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
