Mark L. Ernst

Mark Ernst, 66, of Tiffin, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at his home.

He was born on March 29, 1955, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Raymond E. and Joan (Barger) Ernst.  On June 20, 1987, he married Kimberly A. Brauning.

Survivors include his wife, Kimberly A. Ernst of Tiffin; sons, Luke Ernst of Columbus and Albert (Erin Kerlin) Ernst of Tiffin; daughters, Rebecca (Scott) Bonetti of Denver, CO, Lesley (Chris) George and Melanie (Matthew) Woods, both of Columbus and Sara (Caleb) Peacock of Tiffin; brother, Chris (Rose) Ernst of Tiffin; sisters, Ann C. (George) Georgevich of Toledo and Brenda S. (Charles) Dunlap of Tiffin; ten grandchildren, Caleb, Ethan, Leah, Carson, Nick, Colton, Ella, Breleigh, Monica and Isaac; and one on the way, Penelope.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mark was a 1973 graduate of Tiffin Calvert High School, worked for his dad and then was co-owner for years at Buckeye Panel Ply, later Buckeye Do-It Center and then Buckeye Kitchen & Bath.  He currently owned Accent-N-Design.  He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Seneca County Homebuilders Association. He was a remodeler and craftsman who also enjoyed hunting, raising honey bees, traveling, boating, socializing with his friends, and especially enjoyed helping others.  Mark loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

His Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating.  A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass. 

Friends may visit with the family from 6-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.

Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, F.A.C.T. or to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
