Mary Frances Gaietto, 84, of Tiffin, died on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at OSU Medical Center, Columbus.
She was born on March 19, 1938, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Matthew and Cornelia (Huntsman) Dariano. On May 30, 1960, in St. Mary Catholic Church, she married Raymond P. Gaietto and he preceded her in death on September 8, 2021.
Survivors include her son, Mark (Patty) Gaietto of Clyde; daughters, Denise (Scott) Clark of Dublin and Rachel (David) Gaietto of Tiffin; sister, Gayle (Bobby) Pena of Texas; and six grandchildren, Emily (Aaron) Baugher of Delaware, Jason (Jennifer Logan) Clark of Gahanna, Kennedy Gaietto of Clyde, Marissa Gaietto of Clyde, Logan Zieber of Bellevue and Kory (Katie Meyers) Zieber of Bellevue.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Beth Gaietto; brother, M. Eugene Dariano; and infant grandson, Brian Clark.
Mary Frances was a 1956 graduate of Calvert High School and a 1959 graduate of St. Rita School of Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse and worked at Heidelberg College, Tiffin State Hospital, Dr. Cahill’s office and retired from the Seneca County General Health Department where she was in charge of the WIC program. Mary Frances was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and TOPS, volunteered at Lincoln Elementary and enjoyed shopping, talking to everyone, crocheting, Swedish embroidery, cooking, baking, playing games and family reunions. Mary Frances made friends with everyone, never met a stranger and was famous for the “Dariano Goodbye”.
Her Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, April 4, 2022 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Frank Murd officiating. Burial follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 1-3:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at the funeral home.
