Mary Ellen Gosche, 90, of New Riegel, passed away on Sunday morning, November 14, 2021 at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.
She was born on June 16, 1931, in Seneca County to Leo and Eulalia (Wenzinger) Hoepf. On September 15, 1951, she married Cyril Gosche.
Survivors include her husband, Cyril Gosche of New Riegel; five sons, Ronald (Donna) Gosche of Fostoria; Richard (Linda) Gosche of Bascom; Larry (Cindy) Gosche and Joseph Gosche both of New Riegel and Jim (Lori) Gosche of Tiffin; brothers, Walter Hoepf of Republic; Michael (Diane) Hoepf of Marion; and Cletus (Patricia) Hoepf of Bucyrus; sisters, Dorothy (Jack) Clutter of Bucyrus; Patricia Springman of Bucyrus; son in law, Jerry Kimmet of Tiffin; 20 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Mary Ann Kimmet; daughter-in-law, Anita Louise Gosche; brothers, Gerald, Robert, Arthur and Dale Hoepf and sisters, Ruth Fox and Arlene Holman.
Mary Ellen was a member of All Saints Parish, New Riegel (former member of St. Patrick Catholic Church) and graduated from New Riegel High School in 1949. She was the church secretary at St. Patrick Catholic Church for many years and helped her husband on the family farm. Mary Ellen enjoyed playing BINGO, crocheting, sewing, doing puzzles, and was a member of the Sewing Club for over 50 years. She looked forward to getting together for monthly luncheons with her siblings, family get togethers and loved all the times she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. “Her hugs were the best and you always knew you were loved when you were in her arms”. She was a special person that loved and cared about you.
Her Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at All Saints Parish, New Riegel with Rev. Timothy Kummerer officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 15 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery.
