Mattie Jean Eborg, 82, of Fremont, and formerly of Old Fort, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Bethesda Care Center, Fremont.
She was born on May 12, 1939, in Coeburn, Virginia, to Arcie and Mary (Rose) Adkins. On August 9, 1969, she married Gloyd Eborg and he preceded her in death on September 6, 1999.
Survivors include her sons, Garry (Anne) Powers of Camden, DE, Larry (Mary) Powers of Fremont and Paul Richard Powers of Fremont; daughters, Deborah Myers of Fremont and Cheri (Travis) Jones of Amarillo, TX; brother, Tommy Adkins of McCutchenville; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; infant twin sons, David and Martin; brothers, Willie, Chester, Charlie, Emmitt, and Earl; and two infant brothers; and sisters, Vercie Frederick and Nadine Hill.
Jean lived in Old Fort for 32 years and then moved to Fremont. She worked at Tiffin Enterprise for 30 years and was a member of Fremont Baptist Temple and Bearing Precious Seed. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, January 3, 2022 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Clarence Mullins and Pastor Clarence E. Mullins, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.
Friends may visit with the family from 1-3:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at the funeral home.
