Nancy Lee (Gschwind) Laux

Nancy Lee Laux, 80, of Tiffin, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 17, 2022.

She was born on November 9, 1941, in Fostoria to Pearl “Babe” and Betty (Garberson) Gschwind.  On February 7, 1993, she married Jon Laux.

Survivors include her husband, Jon Laux of Tiffin; sons, Tony (Rochel) Swartz of Fostoria and Dan (Ann) Laux of Tiffin; daughters, Teresa (Tom) Kelley of Battle Creek, MI and Laurel (Dave) Falter of Tiffin; grandchildren, Brett (Taylor) Swartz, Victoria Swartz, Alexander Weaver, Mallory Weaver, Hannah Weaver, Jacob Laux, Evan Laux, Heather (Bert) Walker and Corey Daniels; and 3 great grandsons, Damien (Ashlyn), Gabe and Ty Daniels.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul Gschwind; grandson, Chad Daniels; granddaughter, Tiffani King; and ex-husband, Larry Swartz.

After graduating from Risingsun High School, Nancy was employed by Marathon Oil, Risingsun School District, KeyBank, Seneca County General Health District and Jon A. Laux, CPA.  She was a leader in Girl Scouts for many years, played piano, organ, dulcimer and Native American Flute and sang in many choruses at Church.  Nancy enjoyed traveling throughout the USA and Canada, theater, antiques, dolls, floral and vegetable gardening, watercolor painting, interior decorating, floral arrangement, was an avid reader and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She loved cooking and preparing family dinners.  She hosted international college students for many years.  Nancy was a Certified Professional Secretary and a Master Gardener.

A Celebration of Life will be at 3 P.M. on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Mark Bishop officiating.  Burial will be at a later date in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the Celebration of Life on Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Music Fund at Trinity United Church of Christ, Heifer International or to the Allen Eiry Center.
