Nevin N. “Norman” Fry, 96, of Tiffin, passed away on Tuesday morning, August 21, 2018 at Mercy Health-Tiffin Hospital.
He was born on August 5, 1922, in Bettsville, Ohio to Nevin and Leona (Shawl) Fry. On January 31, 1948, he married Eleanor Frankfield and she preceded him in death on July 9, 2009.
Survivors include his sons, Phillip (Patricia) Fry of Bettsville and David Fry of Tiffin; daughter, Beverly Fry of Tiffin; and grandchildren, Katherine and Nicole Fry of Bettsville.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Fry in 1975.
Norman graduated in 1941 from Bettsville High School and attended Heidelberg College. In 1961, he started Fry Foods, Inc., with his wife, Eleanor. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ where he volunteered for various boards and was a 35- year member of Tiffin Masonic Lodge #77, member of Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo, Seneca Chapter #42, Clinton Council #47 and DeMolay Commandery #9. Norman loved to work, enjoyed traveling and walking.
Friends may visit with the family from 6-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. Masonic Services will be conducted at 7:45 P.M.
His Funeral Service and burial will be private.
