Nina L. (Long) Stalsworth

Nina L. Stalsworth, 85, of Tiffin, passed away on Friday morning, July 21, 2023, at her home.

She was born on July 25, 1937, in Tiffin, Ohio to Charles V. and Helen E. (Werley) Long.  On her birthday,

July 25, 1953, she married Jennings “Fred” Stalsworth and he preceded her in death on March 15, 2014. 

Survivors include her sons, Fred Stalsworth of Tiffin, and William (Andi) Stalsworth of Ft. Myers, FL; daughters, Selena (William) Roe of Tiffin and Sandra (Patrick) Fitschen of Tiffin; 17 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren; good friend, Emma; and loving niece, Diana (Long) Pentony.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John Long, Charles Long, Jr., William Long, Donald Long, and Carl Long, Sr.; sister, Beatrice Long; granddaughter, Casey Opp; and great grandson, Konnor Opp.

Nina and her husband, Fred owned Stalsworth Hotel for years.  She was a member of VFW Post 2858. Nina enjoyed working at Home Depot, going to the casino, loved her dog Millie and spending time with all her grandchildren.

Her Memorial Service will be at 10 A.M. on August 31, 2023, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.  Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.
