Paul “Butch” Raymond Hemminger, of Moore Haven, Florida (previously of Fostoria, Ohio), passed away at the age of 75, on Saturday, August 29, 2020.
Paul was born on July 24,1945 in Fremont, Ohio to Erlin and Pearl (Long) Hemminger. He graduated from New Riegel High School (OH), after which he served his country as a Screaming Eagle paratrooper in the 101st Airborne division of the Army during the Vietnam War.
He was married to Theresa (Sours) Hemminger for 27 years and together they raised five children, to whom he passed on his work ethic, his love of horses and practical jokes. He was known to be an incredibly hard worker and drove countless miles, from farm tractors, to dairy bound milk trucks, to oversized semis, and even airplanes. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor and infectious laugh. He liked to help others -- often without their knowledge.
He is survived by five children: Paula, Terra (Kirk), Jennifer, Gregory (Jennifer), and Crystal (Nick); thirteen grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild, his brother, Clarence (Dolores); and many friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Richard (Annie) and Ronald.
