Obituary

Paula M. Dewald, 64, of Tiffin, passed away Saturday evening, April 16, 2022 in the Emergency Room at Mercy Health-Tiffin Hospital.

On October 6, 1957, in Fostoria, she was born to Wilbur and Mary (Keckler) Bloom and married Christopher Dewald on June 27, 1975 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Tiffin.

Survivors include her husband Chris of 46 years; sons, Christopher F. (Shilo) Dewald of Hartville, OH; Jesse N. Dewald and Clayton M. Dewald both of Tiffin; daughters, Laura A. Steffan of Bowling Green; Randi Lynn (Doug) Hammack of Sylvania; five grandchildren, Benjamin, Tanner, Sophie, Cameron and Christopher; sister, Pam Reilly of Bloomville; brothers, Perry, Paul and Parker (Jessica) Bloom all of Tiffin; Peter Bloom of Fostoria; and Preston (Angie) Bloom of Bascom.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Phil Bloom.

Paula was a 1975 graduate of Hopewell Loudon High School and loved raising her family and being at home.  She enjoyed gardening, looking for arrowheads, flower gardening, and her pets over the years.  She was passionate about placing Hummingbird feeders around her home and encouraging everyone else to do the same.

Friends may visit and share stories with the family on Thursday, April 21, 2022, from 5-7 PM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin.

There will be no service or burial.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Seneca county Humane Society.
