Peggy Lane (Latham) Schetter

Peggy Lane Schetter, 74, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday morning February 2, 2020 at her home.

She was born on May 24, 1945, in Troy, N.C., to William Earl and Bertha Z. (Lyuthacuma) Latham. She was married to Carroll Hill and they divorced and on August 25, 1977, married Kenneth R. Schetter, in Tiffin, Ohio and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include her three children, Wanda (David) Bushong of Mt. Blanchard, Rick (Stephanie) Hill and Reggie (Deb) Hill both of Carey;sister, Beuton Babcock of Sycamore; brother, Tony Latham of Marion; nieces, Sandy Wise and Tabitha Babcock both of Sycamore; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ruby Spivey and Ina-Bell Ward; and brother, William Earl Latham, Jr.

Peggy was a member of Bible Baptist Church and worked for 30 years at Toledo Molding & Die as an auditor before retiring. She enjoyed watching sports, cheering for her favorite teams, North Carolina Tar Heels, Cleveland Indians, and Pittsburgh Steelers, and traveling daily to Wendy’s for her “Big Dave Doubles.”

Her Funeral Service will be at 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home with Rev. Jacob Yager officiating.  Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.

Friends may visit with the family an hour prior to service at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.
