Raymond M. Kimmet, 91, of Tiffin, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria.
He was born on June 20, 1932, in Liberty Twp, to Herman A. and Gertrude H. (Reinhart) Kimmet.
He is survived by his twin brother, Richard Kimmet of rural Tiffin; many nieces and nephews, George (Mary) Kimmet of Tiffin, Donna (Steve) Postell of Tiffin, Anthony Kimmet of Kentucky, Martin (Lesa) Kimmet of Kentucky, Karen (Mike) Dotson of Fostoria, Shirley (Steve) Seifert of Tiffin, Mike (Becky) Hohman of Tiffin, and Cindy (John) Tomaseck of Auburn Twp.; many great and great, great nieces and nephews; and one great, great, great nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert Kimmet, Eugene Kimmet and Carl Kimmet; sisters, Helen Hohman and Infant, Mary Kimmet; and nieces and nephews, Janet Hohman, Robert Kimmet, Joe Kimmet, Helen Hasn and Jeanie Marie Smith.
Raymond graduated from Bettsville High School and served in the United States Army during the Korean War from July 31, 1952 to July 10, 1954. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, retired as a signalman at Norfolk & Western Railway and farmed with his twin brother, Richard outside of Bettsville and Bascom for his entire life.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, October 20, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Anthony Coci officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors being conducted by the United Veterans Council.
