Raymond Lee, 92, of Tiffin, passed away Monday morning, November 29, 2021, at Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital.
He was born August 27, 1929, in Seneca County, to Arthur and Gladys (Lippert) Lee. On May 13, 1950, he married Phyllis R. Thom.
Survivors include his sons, Terry (Paula) Lee and Tom (Deb) Lee both of Tiffin; brother, Clayton (Sandy) Lee of Tiffin; sister, Evie (Rick) James of Tiffin; grandchildren, Chris (Bri) Lee, Steven (Michelle) Lee, Michael (Tori) Lee; and great-grandchildren, Nolan and Piper Lee, Max and Carter Lee, and Lila Lee.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Phyllis Lee; infant twin sons, Kenneth and Keith Lee; brother, Melvin Lee; sisters, Rosalyn “Rosie” Snyder, Maggie Boonie, Donna Carter, and Mardell Hill.
Raymond served in the United States Navy from 1951 to 1955. He worked at Tiffin Developmental Center in the maintenance department, trimmed trees for Nelson Tree Service, was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin VFW Post #2858 and a lifetime member of AMVETS Post #48. Raymond was a volunteer at St. Francis Home for many years, loved his dog, Buddy, was a collector of many things and enjoyed cutting wood.
His funeral service will be at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday December 2, 2021, at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home and Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419)447-2424 with Rev Matthew Rader officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the United Veterans Council.
Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
