Rebecca Lou “Becky” Craig, 56, of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Bridge Hospice, Bowling Green.
Becky was born on October 25, 1963, in Tiffin, Ohio, to William “Bill and Gervase J. (Schalk) Craig.
Survivors include her mother, Gervase Craig of Tiffin; brothers, Michael Don (Brad Watson) Craig of Oakland , CA, Douglas William (Carol) Craig of Charleston, SC; sisters, Jacqulyn S. (Brenda Brown) Craig of Millville, New Jersey, Michelle M. Craig of Tiffin, Jane A. (Kelly) Caudill of Hudson, NH and Georgia A. (Michael Bowden) Craig of Sunbury, Ohio; many nieces, nephews; and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Craig; infant brother, Patrick Joseph Craig; and infant sister, Cathy Lou Craig.
Becky graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School in 1982. After graduation, she continued her education and focused on computer programming and languages. Becky became a senior computer program analyst with 30 years of experience in the information technology industry. Working in both Fortune 500 companies and smaller companies, she developed and owned a registered copy write i-Series procedure. She enjoyed her professional relationships with her coworkers and retired in 2014 from Micro Center Electronics. Most of Becky’s professional experience was in central Ohio. After retiring, she moved back to Tiffin to be closer to family and to enjoy living in a more rural setting.
Becky’s compassion for animals played a big role in her life. She not only volunteered for animal rescue organizations but also rescued her own share of cats, dogs and even the turtle, Chance. Becky’s beloved dachshunds Penny, Lucy and Rusty have found loving homes via a rescue organization.
A private Service will take place at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will also be private at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
