Richard L. Brodman

Richard “Rick” L.  Brodman, 51, of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020.

He was born on February 14, 1969, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Leonard W. and Elizabeth C. (Fabian) Brodman.  He married Cynthia Carroll and they later divorced.

He is survived by his son, Joe (Sarah Ruschke) Brodman of Cincinnati; daughters, Emma (Ian Huth-Fretz) Brodman and Cecilia Brodman, both of Tiffin; brothers, Frank (Laura) Brodman of Republic, Phillip (Heidi) Brodman and Tom (Nancy) Brodman, both of Tiffin and Mike (Heide) Brodman of Republic; sisters, Gwen Achen and Fran (Steve) Genet, both of Tiffin, Linda (Greg) Valko and Janet (Dave) Fisher, both of Bellevue, Patti (Todd) Wigton of Amherst, Susan (Matt) Scholl of Tiffin, Barbara (Leon) Weinandy of Alvada and Ellen (Steve) Nedlik of Mentor; and his first grandchild on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, John R. Brodman; and brother, Stephen Brodman.

Rick graduated in 1987 from Tiffin Calvert High School, from Bowling Green State University and was owner and instructor at St. Christopher Driving Academy.  He was a certified financial advisor at Superior Credit Union, was a bartender at Sonny Jack and currently at the Tiffin Elks.  He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, coached wrestling and was active at Tiffin Crossfit.  Rick loved his children and was looking forward to his first grandchild and his children’s weddings.

His Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, March 16, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating.  A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.  Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to a local charity for suicide prevention.
