Richard F. “Dick” Miller, 83, of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at The Willows at Bellevue.
He was born on July 25, 1937, in Bellevue, Ohio, to Arthur F. and Mary J. (Hohman) Miller. On April 12, 1958, in Reed Assumption Catholic Church, he married Phyllis Brown.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Miller of Tiffin; sons, Nick (Diane) Miller of Bellevue and Mark (Tina Marie) Miller of Tiffin; daughters, Jan (Neil) Shingledecker of Bellevue and Beth (Ned )Walliser of Danville, IN; brother, Rev. Bill Miller, C.P.P.S of St. Charles Center in Carthagena, Ohio; sisters, Carol Aichholz of Attica and Betty (Gil) Shultz of Northville, MI; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Dominic Miller; and brother-in-law, Gene Aichholz.
Dick graduated in 1955 from Thompson High School and retired from Whirlpool Corp., Clyde in 2000, after 33 years. After retiring, Dick was a custodian and former member at St. Gasper Del Bufalo Catholic Church, was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, farmed, raised steers, enjoyed bus trips, restoring 20 antique tractors, documenting rain fall for many years for the Seneca County Conservation District and was a 22.5 gallon Red Cross donor.
His Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew Rader officiating. The Mass will be livestreamed at https://www.stmarychurch.com. A Rosary will be prayed 30 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in Reed Assumption Cemetery.
A walk through visitation with social distancing will be observed from 5-7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.
