Richard Nicholas Reedy, 79, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday morning, April 18, 2021 at Mercy Health-Tiffin Hospital.
On December 25, 1941 in Tiffin, he was born to Arthur Clayton and Margaret (Ryman) Reedy and they preceded him in death.
He is survived by his sister, Janet Elaine Alford and nephew, Brian Alford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ronald and Roger, a sister, Alice Reedy and a nephew, Stephen Reedy.
Richard was a 1961 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1964-1966, stationed at Fort Knox, KY. The James Bond film, Goldfinger was filming at Fort Knox and Richard was used as a fill in. For 19 years he worked at General Electric as a mechanical inspector and later retired. He was an avid football and baseball fan; especially the Cleveland Indians and The Ohio State Buckeyes, who enjoyed keeping score and coaching. Richard liked to travel and spendi time with his cat, Jessie.
His graveside service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Rock Creek Cemetery with military honors conducted by the United Veterans Council.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Seneca County Humane Society.
