Ronald F. Reinhart

Ronald F. Reinhart, 83, of Tiffin, passed away at 5:46 p.m. Sunday June 21, 2020 at St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. 

He was born October 19, 1936 in Seneca County, to the late Charles A. and Josephine (Hoffbauer) Reinhart.  He married Carol E. Rinebold on June 14, 1958 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Alvada, Ohio, and she still resides in Tiffin.  Also surviving are two sons; Gregory A (Becky) of South Lebanon and Bryan J (Tawnya) of Tiffin; 6 grandchildren, Kyle, Colleen, Ellen, William, Katey and Ashley; and sister Mary Davis of Toledo. 

He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Reinhart; an infant brother, Richard Marvin; an infant sister, Joanne Rose; four brothers, Leonard, James, Charles and Marvin Reinhart; and three sisters, Mildred Reid, Genevieve St. Aubin and Donna Schreiner.

Dedicated and devoted family man.  He recently celebrated 62 years of marriage to Carol, the love of his life.  Ron was a machinist at General Electric, grain crop farmer and landlord.  He was an avid sportsman (fishing, hunting) and wildlife conservationist and was a lifelong Cleveland and Ohio State sports fan and enjoyed attending/watching games with his sons and friends.  Ron had an adventuresome spirit and enjoyed new experiences made possible by his passion for travel.  He was known for his mischievous sense of humor, ability to relate to many different types of people, his perseverance, and strong work ethic.  He was a member of Christ Church in Tiffin, Ohio and served in the Ohio Army National Guard.

On Wednesday June 24, 2020, the family will receive visitors from 10:00-11:30 a.m. followed immediately by a memorial service at Christ Church at Tiffin, 2586 US-224, Tiffin, Ohio 44883.   A private graveside service will be at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Ron’s wish was for donations to be made to Central Brazil Mission (specify Amazon Boat Ministry), Attn: Michael Haubner, PO Box 420, McCoy Virginia 24111 or to a charity of the donor’s choice. 

Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
