Ruth V. (Luidhardt) Boyer

Ruth V. Boyer, 94, of Tiffin, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at the Willows at Tiffin.

She was born on February 21, 1926, in Brokensword, Ohio to Otto and Addie (Brown) Luidhardt.  On June 19, 1948, she married Philip D. Boyer.

Survivors include her son, David A. (Susan Hemminger) Boyer of Tiffin; daughter, Susan K. Distel of Tiffin; grandchildren, Lee Anne DuMond of Pinkerton and Michael R. Distel of Tiffin; and great grandchildren, Zane, Noah and Kallan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 65 years, Philip Boyer; brother, Carl Luidhardt; and sisters, Kathleen Winters and Miriam Reed.

Ruth graduated in 1943 from Columbus High School and was a member of First Lutheran Church.  She worked in the payroll department at Tiffin Glass for seven years, in the accounting department at Jack Payne & Associates for thirty five years and then retired as the office secretary at Martin Bros. & Associates after five years.

Her Memorial Service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Clayton J. Bailey officiating.  Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Service on Saturday at the Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Lutheran Church.
