Ruth A. (Scholl) Huffmon

Ruth A. Huffmon, 80, of Tiffin, passed away on Tuesday morning, October 22, 2019 at Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital.

She was born on November 11, 1938, in Tiffin, To Charles, Sr. and Helen (Wagner) Scholl.  On September 18, 1965, she married James “Dick” Huffmon.

Survivors include her husband, James Huffmon of Tiffin; sons, James L. (Vicki) Huffmon and Steven C. Huffmon, both of Tiffin; daughter, Kathleen Huffmon of Tiffin; sisters, Mary (Fred) Smith of Tiffin and Carol (Mike) Szyperski of Toledo; and grandchildren, Nicholas of Bettendorf, Iowa and Matthew of Cincinnati.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Bernard Scholl and Charles Scholl, Jr.

Ruth graduated in 1957 from Calvert High School and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.   She was co-owner and “the boss” of Huffmon’s Bar with her husband, Dick.  Ruth’s cooking was enjoyed by many loyal customers and they still rave about her food today.  She enjoyed going to the lake and Myrtle Beach, having coffee with her dear friend, Barb, watching her grandchildren’s sporting events and loved spending time with her family. 

Her Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew R. Rader officiating.  A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.  Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
