Scott C. “Scotty” Daniel, 49, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 in the Emergency Room at Mercy Health-Tiffin Hospital.
He was born on March 02, 1974, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Paul T. and Carol Sue (Frisch) Daniel. On May 01, 2021, he married the love of his life, Christa Marie Gittinger.
Survivors include his father, Paul T. Daniel of Tiffin; wife, Christa M. Daniel of Tiffin; sons, Cody Daniel and Shawn Daniel, both of Tiffin; daughter, Leslie Daniel of Tiffin; stepson, Gavin (Annabelle Auble) Robison of Tiffin; stepdaughter, Vivian Robison of Tiffin; brothers, Thomas (Margie) Daniel of Tiffin, Brian (Faith) Daniel of Waynesville and Michael (Annie) Daniel of Tiffin; sister, Beth (Allen) Lambert of Berlin Heights; granddaughter, Lillian Daniel; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Randall & Caralyn Gittinger of Melmore; sister-in-law, Frances Shook of Tiffin; brother-in-law, Raymond Gittinger of Tiffin; and many nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle “Snot”.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Sue Daniel; and infant son, Nathan.
Scotty graduated in 1993 from Tiffin Columbian High School. After graduation, he immediately took a job with Tiffin City Schools and worked his way up to Director of Operations. He was known for being the “voice” of cancellations and delays for TCS and was a long-time supporter of Columbian Athletics. He was the “Manager on Duty” at Jack & Do’s and long-time worker and supporter of Fort Ball Pizza. Scotty enjoyed being a homebody, working on jigsaw puzzles and putting together Lego’s, watching Nascar, loved his dog, Percy J and cats, Bear, June and Artemis and was an Ohio State, Pittsburgh Steelers and Chase Elliot fan.
Friends may visit with the family from 1-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 06, 2023 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 .
His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 07, 2023 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 46 Madison Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 with Pastor Charlene Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery (Egbert’s).
