Obituary

Suzette “Sue” R. Gaietto, 90, of Tiffin passed away Sunday morning, January 3, 2021 at her home.

On April 13, 1930 in Upper Sandusky, she was born to Joseph and Emma (Scheidegger) Derr.  She married Michael “Mick” P. Gaietto and he preceded her in death in 2010.

She is survived by her children, a son, Eric (Marko Jeter) Gaietto of San Francisco; daughters, Pamela Crum of Tiffin; Debra Prentiss of Newport, RI; a sister, Bonnie Reams of Fort Wayne, IN; eight grandchildren, Josh (Erica) Crum, Mackenzie (Allan) Adelman, Alexandra and Lincoln Prentiss, Jordan (Maria) Gaietto, Jonathan and Jeremi Gaietto and Samuel (Kelsi) Adams.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Andrea Adams, a son, Peter Gaietto and sisters, Jane Mack and Imogene Knisley.

Sue was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a 1949 graduate of Tiffin Calvert.  She enjoyed trips to the casinos, getting together with her classmates, antiquing, and attending auctions, but most of all she loved her family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A private service for the family will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ecumenical Sharing Kitchen at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 46 Madison St., Tiffin, OH 44883 or Heartland Hopsice.
