Virginia I. Troiano, 99, of Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday, September 06, 2023 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.
She was born on April 22, 1924, in Wharton, Ohio, to Mohler B. and Ruth (Enders) Yeater. On October 26, 1946, in Carey, Ohio, she married Lucian “Tony” Troiano and he preceded her in death on August 03, 1993.
Survivors include her daughters, Susan Allen and Gloria McCrory of Tiffin and Nancy Steinmetz of Huron; sons, Michael (Linda) Troiano of Tiffin and Thomas (Dina) Troiano of Sycamore; daughter-in-law, Sandy Troiano of Tiffin; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, John A. Troiano; sons-in-law, Willard “Bill” Allen and Michael A. McCrory; grandson, Nicholas Allen, a great grandchild; brothers, Jay, Irvin, John, Harry and Paul; sisters, Alice Rose, Pearl Myers and Hazel Bakies; half-brother, Lester Steele; and half-sister, Frances Kohns
Virginia retired in 1990 as a seamstress from Tiffin State Hospital after 20 plus years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and enjoyed puzzle books, sewing, crafts, crocheting, taking care of her husband, Tony while he was sick, dancing, especially with her husband, dogs and loved spending time with her family.
Her Funeral Service will be at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, September 09, 2023 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Service on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.
