William J. “Billy” Stanley, Jr., 65, of Tiffin, passed away on Friday morning, April 05, 2024 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.
He was born on September 26, 1958, in Scott Air Force Base, Illinois to William J. and Betty L. (Walton) Stanley, Sr.
Survivors include his brother, Ken (Kathleen) Stanley of Shrewsbury, PA; sisters, Pat (Richard) Frontz of Lake Havasu City, AZ and Deb (Jerry) Johnston of Tiffin; brother-in-law, Walt Szablewski of Ravensdale, WA; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Mary Szablewski.
Billy graduated in 1976 from the Seneca County School of Opportunity. After graduating, he worked at their workshop for many years, later retiring. He was a member of Restoration Alliance Church. Billy was a simple man who loved his job and the School of Opportunity, bowling, puzzles, Sci Fi movies, Mountain Dew, birthdays, going on long car rides and out to eat and loved showing everyone his wallet.
His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Pastor Brent Nusbaum officiating. Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.
Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the Service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the School of Opportunity.
